Frequently Asked Questions

A mobile app alert system to help keep you, family & friends and any beloved pets safe. We alert Emergency Contacts if a User misses a safety check-in.

Anyone who desires regular check-ins to assure they are safe, alert and responsive. For those who live alone, are caretakes to an adult, or parents with small children, A OKay may be a full-time service and will become part of their daily health routine—akin to daily teeth flossing.

Alternatively, the need for this service can be more sporadic—such as after a surgery during a period of recovery at home or during a bout of illness; if a spouse/partner is traveling; someone is taking a new medication; someone traveling on their own, or college students may want to give themselves and their parents added piece of mind that they are safe without having to text or call every day.

The app is also perfect for dating singles: just schedule an ETA home safety check-in; loved ones will be alerted only if the Users fails to confirm they are safe home!

Download the A Okay app from the App Store on Apple devices and from the Google Play Store on Android devices. The app will guide you through the Sign-Up process. NOTE: Please let your designated In-Case-of Emergency Contact know to expect an SMS text Invite from A OKay. Once they accept this invite, your service will begin!

No. Your “In Case of Emergency” (ICE) Contact does not need to download the A Okay app, or subscribe to the app. However, before we can activate your subscription to A Okay , your ICE Contact must Accept their status as your ICE designee. This process is done through the app, so don’t worry; all you need to do is input your ICE into the app, and we do the rest. If they decline, we’ll let you know so you can choose another ICE contact.

No. SMS text replies are not monitored. For assistance/support with the A OKay app, email us at: info@aokaytoday.com

The app will notify you a few days before your Free Trial period is over, and prompt you to select a subscription plan that’s best for you. Payment will be charged to your iTunes or Google Play Store account upon confirmation of purchase. Your subscription automatically renews unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period.

Yes, the app has each unique user set their specific preference for when they receive their wellness-check alerts, how far apart the alerts are spaced, and, in case of a non-response to a well-check alert, the time internal between a non-response and ICE notification. Users can edit their preferences easily from their home screen.

Once a non-response alert is generated to your ICE contact (and/or the Notify Local Police Department if you have selected that option and it’s available in your area), the app requires the User to Confirm their Wellness from within the app on their mobile device for Wellness Check Alerts to resume.

Send us an email at info@aokaytoday.com and we’ll let you know how to resend an ICE invite that was mistakenly Rejected.

Yes. A Okay understands you may be otherwise engaged when your wellness-check alert SMS arrives, so we’ll send you at least one reminder SMS before a notification goes out to your ICE contact, or the LPD, if you have signed up for the Notify Local Police Dept. service.
